About
“That One Guy Tad”
Tad is a man whose love knows no bounds. He has a heart full of love for his family, friends and community, and is always willing to extend himself to help those in need. As a dedicated father, he cherishes his daughter and strives to provide the best for her. Tad is also a friend to many, always ready to lend a listening ear, a helping hand or just be a shoulder to cry on.
His devotion to the children goes far beyond just his own daughter, extending his love for teaching and helping to those of his family, friends and community. He values children as the future of society and is always eager to support them, as they are the next generation. “What will I have to offer to leave behind to my future generation after I die and find my place among the Gods? I want to leave a legacy for my daughter, and generations to come; a legacy to be proud of; a story worth being told.”
Tad is a hard worker who takes pride in his job, and is always striving to be the best he can be. However, he never puts work before his family and friends. He understands the importance of a work-life balance, and always ensures he takes time to spend with those he loves.
But perhaps what sets Tad apart most is his selflessness. He has a heart of gold, and is always there for others, even when he doesn’t have a lot himself. From snow-blowing all his neighbors’ driveways, to bartering for mechanic work, to leading events to share his immense wealth of Scandinavian history, Viking lore and ancient religions, he does it all. He embodies the spirit of giving, and his generosity and kindness towards others knows no bounds.
All in all, Tad Joel is a man whose love, hard work and selflessness make him an asset to any community. He is a true example of what it means to be a good person, and his heart shines through in all that he does.
R. B. – Friend and Tech Genius

I have an Associate of Arts degree from Riverland Community College and a Batchelor’s Degree in Scandinavian Studies from MSU, Mankato, with minors in Communications Studies and Manufacturing Engineering. I took many elective courses in speech, public speaking, and themed event planning. I come from humble beginnings, and have worked hard in many trades and fields over the years, making my list of useful skills seemingly endless. I am passionate about my ancestry and I am truely a Handyman extraordinaire.
I also specialize in Viking Age entertainment and storytelling, channeling my tru skaldic spirit. I gave my oath to my Gods and Goddesses nearly 20 years ago, and continue to honor them by carrying on the traditions of my ancestors. I am an Ordained Minister in the State of Minnesota, having officiated several themed and non-traditional weddings, including multiple traditional Viking Weddings. I regularly hold study group and ritual meetings, where we learn about Nordic history and honor our Gods through Hails, or toasts. I am also a shaman for my kith, kin, and community, providing counseling, birth and death services, and guided sauna experiences. I am History, come to life!
Tusen takk for at du kom inn i livet mitt!
